What is it?
PONTOS Live is a tracking system designed for real-time positioning of parts, specifically tailored for production environments. Equipped with a Touch Probe, the system allows to combine optical and tactile measuring techniques. Through dynamic referencing, the measuring object is continuously tracked by the optical sensor.The Technology
Stereo camera
The stereo camera system provides precise 3D coordinates of reference point markers. Incorporated within an industrial housing, the pre-set and certified lenses contribute to heightened stability, minimizing the need for frequent sensor calibration. Users can easily change the measuring volume, enabling the measurement of objects ranging from small to large.
Live functionality
The live functionality enables real-time measurements and online positioning. This capability is supported during measurements with Touch Probes and Adapters, facilitating the precise alignment and positioning of components to the CAD in an online measurement.
Touch Probe
The Touch Probe serves as a tactile extension for measuring systems, being optically tracked by the sensor. It is used for tactile measurements and allows measuring coordinates even in areas that are difficult to access.
Adapter
The adapters provide additional possibilities for real-time measurements, including component positioning and the measurement of geometric elements and edges.
