Marketing & Communications Specialist

Delta XD is looking for a hands-on marketing specialist to help tell our story, showcase our projects and grow awareness of our capabilities across the UK and Ireland. You will turn complex engineering work into clear, engaging content that resonates with customers in aerospace, defence, rail, energy, motorsport and research.

This role will suit someone who is equally comfortable planning campaigns, creating content and measuring impact, and who enjoys working closely with a technical team in a fast growing business.

About Delta XD

Delta XD is a precision engineering consultancy specialising in advanced measurement, inspection and test. We support aerospace, defence, rail, energy, motorsport, research and high-value manufacturing – delivering high-accuracy data where it is needed most.

Our core services include 3D scanning, dimensional inspection, reverse engineering, fixture design, production verification and full-field optical testing. We provide both mobile services and automated solutions, including ZEISS ScanBox platforms.

We are also the ZEISS Certified Metrology Partner for the UK & Ireland for ARAMIS, TRITOP, PONTOS and ARGUS – responsible for new system sales, training and aftercare support across industry, research, and academia. Delta XD is an active member of the EIS and BSSM, and is continually expanding its role within the UK 3D testing and experimental mechanics community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a joined-up marketing strategy for Delta XD across web, email, social and events.
• Create clear, technically accurate content – case studies, blog posts, web copy, email campaigns, slide decks and flyers.
• Work with the team to turn real projects into compelling case studies and customer stories.
• Manage the Delta XD website in WordPress, keeping pages, news and resources up to date.
• Develop and grow Delta XD’s LinkedIn presence and other relevant channels with regular, well-targeted content.
• Support the promotion of ZEISS systems (ARAMIS, TRITOP, ARGUS, PONTOS and ScanBox) in the UK & Ireland.
• Coordinate our presence at exhibitions, conferences and webinars – from pre-event promotion to post-event follow-up.
• Manage email lists and campaigns, including the Delta XD mailing list and event follow-ups.
• Track and report on key metrics (website traffic, engagement, campaign performance) to guide future activity.
• Ensure all content and collateral is on-brand, accurate and aligned with our positioning as a hands-on metrology partner.

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience in a marketing, communications or content role – ideally within engineering, technology or B2B services.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to explain technical topics clearly and concisely.
• Comfortable working with subject-matter experts and turning conversations into finished content.
• Experience managing websites (ideally WordPress) and social channels for a business.
• Good understanding of basic digital marketing tools – email platforms, analytics, scheduling tools, etc.
• Organised and self-directed, able to manage multiple pieces of content and campaigns in parallel.
• Eligible to work in the UK, and based within commutable distance of Basingstoke (or willing to relocate).

Desirable

• Experience in marketing for measurement, test, engineering services or industrial technology.
• Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM/marketing automation platforms.
• Basic design skills (e.g. PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe tools) for simple graphics and collateral.
• Experience producing or coordinating video content – interviews, project highlights or short explainers.
• Understanding of SEO basics and how to structure content for search.

Location

Basingstoke, Hampshire – required in the office daily with occasional travel to events, clients and suppliers.
